Who is the Arizer Solo 2 Max for?
The Arizer Solo 2 Max is one of Arizer's most refined session vaporizers. Arizer made the original Solo, one of the early portable vaporizers. The Solo 2 Max takes a platform proven over seven years and adds USB-C charging, a self-flipping display, and battery life that is long for a portable. It is a popular choice for home sessions, and it suits anyone who puts flavour purity and easy upkeep first.
The Solo 2 Max is a home-first vape. It is built for relaxed, multi-draw sessions of ten minutes or so rather than one quick inhalation between errands. That pacing buys you steady extraction and herbs that stretch further. The all-glass path keeps sessions tasting clean. Load a glass piece, settle onto the couch, and let the evening run.
Design and Size: Built for Home
The Solo 2 Max stands 11.3 cm tall, measures 4.6 cm across and weighs 210 g. The shell is sturdy anodised aluminium in carbon black. With the glass mouthpiece fitted, the overall height roughly doubles. This vape lives on a table or in a bag, not in a jeans pocket.
Three buttons and a digital display handle everything. There is no app to pair and nothing to update; every function lives on the vape itself.
For quiet evenings, a dark mode dims the display and you can mute the beeps completely. Dark mode is a new addition to the Solo line.
Pure Flavour Through Glass
Arizer's signature is its glass loading system. Each glass piece has a herb chamber at one end and a mouthpiece at the other, with a built-in glass screen between them. One piece does two jobs.
Your herbs sit inside that borosilicate glass while hot air flows through them. With the built-in glass screen alone, nothing but glass touches the vapour; no plastic, no silicone, no metal. Floral, sweet, and minty notes come through clearly.
The same glass fits every Arizer Air and Solo model, so standard Air / Solo glass pieces and adapters carry over across the lineup, but the Solo 3's XL glass does not. If you ever upgrade within the range, your whole collection comes with you.
A Heater Ready in 30 Seconds
A ceramic heating element warms the chamber with convection-dominant hybrid heating. It works like an oven and a pan at once: hot air does most of the extraction while gentle contact heat keeps everything steady.
The heater is ready in about 30 seconds, roughly the time it takes to grind your herbs. The oven also senses your draw and holds its temperature as you inhale, so the vapour stays consistent from start to finish.
The airflow is deliberately restrictive. Long, slow draws of around ten seconds work best. That suits the relaxed sessions this vape is built for.
Temperature Control Down to the Degree
The full range runs from 50 to 220 °C. Tap the up or down button to move one degree. Hold it to jump ten degrees at a time. The vape remembers your last-used temperature and starts there next time.
In practice, around 193 °C brings out the most flavour from a new load. For a second round on the same herbs, raise the setting to about 204 °C. That pulls out what is left.
Through water, 210 to 215 °C works well. Without water, stay below about 215 °C. There is nothing to cool the vapour, so it gets hot at the top of the range.
A Display That Flips for Water Pipes
The Solo 2 Max includes a 14 mm water pipe adapter in the box, a welcome upgrade over the Solo 2. The frosted glass adapter has its own herb chamber and connects the vape to any water pipe with a matching 14 mm fitting.
Turn the vape upside down onto a bubbler, and the screen and buttons flip automatically so the display stays readable and the controls still match. It is a small idea that makes inverted water pipe sessions genuinely practical.
Water cools the vapour considerably, which makes the higher end of the temperature range far more comfortable. A spare water pipe adapter is sold separately; it is the glass piece most at risk of damage in daily use.
A Small Chamber That Goes Far
The herb chamber holds about 0.25 g with a medium-coarse grind, a size made for efficient, measured sessions. Fill the chamber end of the glass and press the herbs gently flat. Stop there, because overpacking tightens the draw.
Four steel screens come in the kit, but they are optional. Arizer recommends a coarse grind with just the built-in glass screen, which gives the most open airflow and the cleanest flavour.
The kit's two silicone caps and travel tubes support a simple pre-load routine: fill a few glass pieces at home, cap them, and swap through the day. Extra glass mouthpieces and a four-pack of caps are available separately if you want a bigger rotation.
How to Use the Solo 2 Max
Everything runs on three buttons, so a session follows a simple rhythm.
- Loading: Grind your herbs medium to coarse, dip the chamber end of the glass mouthpiece into them to scoop them up, and press gently flat.
- Heating: Switch the vape on, set your temperature, and give it about 30 seconds to reach that temperature.
- Inserting: Slide the loaded glass mouthpiece into the oven and let it warm for another 20 to 30 seconds.
- Inhaling: Take long, slow draws throughout a relaxed session. For a second round on the same load, raise the temperature by about ten degrees.
- Finishing: Switch the vape off and remove the glass mouthpiece carefully, as the glass can be hot. Tip out the used herbs and clear any leftovers with the included stirring tool.
Battery and Charging for Long Evenings
Two built-in 18650 cells give the Solo 2 Max up to three hours of continuous use. In our testing, that works out to roughly 12 to 16 sessions per charge. For most people that means charging once a day or less, much like a phone.
Charging runs over USB-C through a port on the back. A cable and a wall adapter are included. A full charge takes about three hours.
The Solo 2 Max supports pass-through charging, so it keeps running while plugged in. The battery is sealed and cannot be replaced by the user by the user. That is worth knowing before you buy.
Cleaning in Five Minutes
Because herbs stay inside the glass rather than in the oven, routine upkeep is minimal. In our experience, a single glass piece can run dozens of sessions before flavour starts to dull.
A full clean takes about five minutes. Soak the glass pieces in isopropyl alcohol, rinse them with hot water, and let them dry completely before use.
The oven needs only an occasional wipe with a cotton bud dipped in isopropyl alcohol. That is the whole routine.
Solo 2 Max vs Solo 3
The Solo 3 is Arizer's current flagship session portable, one step above the Solo 2 Max in the range. It adds an on-demand mode for single draws, larger XL glass, and faster heating.
The Solo 2 Max delivers the same signature flavour for less. Both vapes use all-glass mouthpieces for the herb chamber and vapour path, and every standard Air / Solo glass accessory fits either one, though the Solo 3's XL glass only fits the Solo 3.
If sit-down sessions are how you vape anyway, the on-demand mode may go unused. The Solo 2 Max delivers the flavour that matters and leaves you money for extra glass.
Solo 2 Max vs Air Max
The Air Max is the Solo 2 Max's smaller counterpart, with near-identical internals in a lighter body. It offers a replaceable 26650 battery and slips into a pocket far more easily.
The Solo 2 Max counters with noticeably longer runtime per charge: in our testing, around 170 minutes against roughly 120 for the Air Max. It also heats faster and carries a larger display.
Pocket carry favours the Air Max; long evenings at home favour the Solo 2 Max.
Recommended Accessories
Right now we offer a 25% discount on all accessories when you buy any vaporizer here at MagicVaporizers. These are the add-ons we would pick for the Solo 2 Max.
Soft-shell Case: The box has no case, and fragile glass deserves padding. This one holds the vape, the cable, and up to six glass pieces.
Glass Mouthpiece (110 mm): With a second long glass, you can pre-load the next session while the first is still warm.
Glass Mouthpiece (70 mm): The compact glass keeps the overall height down for desk use and travel bags.
Silicone Glass Caps (4-pack): Cap pre-loaded glass pieces and carry a full day of sessions without taking your grinder with you. Once you own extra glass, the kit's two caps will not stretch far.
TightVac - MiniVac 0.12 L: An airtight, smell-proof container that keeps ground herbs fresh and ready for filling the next glass piece.
Curved Glass Mouthpiece: Made for couch sessions: the vape stands upright on the table while the mouthpiece angles towards you.
Tipped Glass Mouthpiece (70 mm): The food-grade plastic tip stays comfortable on the lips during high-temperature sessions.
Water Pipe Adapter (14 mm): A spare for water pipe fans. This is the piece most at risk when you move between vape and bubbler.
Glass Aroma Dish: Turns the Solo 2 Max into a low-temperature aroma diffuser for essential oils or dried botanicals.
Screens (6-pack): Optional steel screens that keep fine grinds out of the oven.
Stainless Steel Stirring Tool: A spare for clearing used herbs, handy when the one in the kit wanders off.
Warranty Information
Arizer covers the ceramic heating element for life. Defects in materials and workmanship carry a 2-year warranty, and the battery carries a 1-year warranty. Glass parts and shipping costs are not covered. Every Solo 2 Max we sell here at MagicVaporizers is an authentic Arizer product.

The product is highly praised for its solid build quality, user-friendly interface, and precise temperature control that enhances the use of herbs. It is noted for its excellent vapor quality, ease of use, quick heating, and simple maintenance. Users appreciate its efficiency and reliability, recommending it as a worthwhile purchase.
I have been v pleased with my new Solo 2 Max. Easy to use and with some handy features, fast charging and great solid feel to it. The quality & volume of vape are a step up on the Black Widow I was using before.
This is my second Arizer Solo 2, having previously had the old model (having recently ordered the Max from Magic Vaporizers). It honestly is the best vape I have ever used, and I cannot see myself buying any other vaporiser -- my previous one lasted 9 years of daily use. The build quality is second to none,l -- it is absolutely bulletproof, and due to the isolated, plastic free, air flow, the vapor is high quality. It is also an extremely efficient vaporiser, you really get your money's worth of the product you put into it. Magic Vaporizers delivered the product safely and quickly, as well as offering a competitive price. They even included some sweets in the parcel that were vegan, which is a rarity! I really appreciated this level of consideration, as it means they are suitable for those who avoid animal products, in addition to being halal :) I will definitely be using Magic Vaporizers again.
Already had the Air Max vape but bought this one as we'd droped the Air Max and it was a little damaged but was still working. Really pleased with how this performs. Works really well & highly recommended. Absolutely amazing service from this company. Ordered & received within 36 hours. Very happy indeed.
This is a good vape, best I've tried. Very smooth
Poor quality. Does not draw very well and the amount of smoke is minimal. I would defo not recommend this product total waste of money
Excellent device
Excellent product,, just as good if not better than most vaporizers over 200 pounds, I've used Arizer products, for a long time and would recommend then to anyone who is interested in vaping
Brilliant vaporizer! Well made, fast heat up time and good battery life, though not quite the 3 hours Arizer claim. Lasts me a day using it 7 or 8 times for 10 minute sessions. Charges fast though! It's probably best as a session vaporizer but using the WPA and long slow inhales you can get pretty big clouds. Easy to carry around too. It's my first electronic vape and couldn't be happier and can't imagine buying another any time soon. Fast delivery too.
