Who is the Venty Vaporizer for?
The Venty is the flagship portable from Storz & Bickel, the German makers of the Volcano. Even in 2026 it is still one of the highest-rated portables you can buy, and it is easy to feel why: an effortless draw, a powerful heater, and long battery life. It is built for daily users who want a vape that needs little technique and no fuss.
The Venty costs more than most portables. It is also a large vape that fills a whole pocket. That size is part of the deal. It buys airflow, power, and battery endurance that smaller vapes struggle to match. On a desk at home, in a bag, or passed around with friends, the Venty delivers a draw that is hard to give up.
Built Solid, Cool to Hold
The Venty stands about 16 cm tall, weighs 252 g, and is the tallest and heaviest portable Storz & Bickel makes. The body is made from PEEK, a heat-resistant plastic used in medical and aerospace equipment. In our testing it stays cool in the hand even after back-to-back sessions.
The flat bottom lets the vape stand upright on a table. Like every Storz & Bickel (S&B) vaporizer, the Venty is built in the company's medical-grade facility in Germany. It is also UL certified.
For transport, you can add the smell-proof Venty case, a hard shell moulded to fit this vape.
A New Heater with Real Power
The Venty uses a completely new hybrid heating system, an all-new heater design from S&B. Conduction warms the chamber directly, while convection sends hot air through the herbs with every inhalation. Driving it is a 130 W heater, a lot of power for a portable.
That power makes the Venty quick. It reaches temperature in about 20 seconds, roughly the time it takes to grind your herbs. The name is a nod to that speed: "Venty" comes from "venti", Italian for twenty.
Airflow You Control
Airflow is the reason people buy this vape. A dial on the side adjusts the air intake up to 20 L/min, double that of the Mighty+. With the dial fully open, the draw feels like breathing through a wide straw. There is almost no resistance.
Inside sits a newly developed flow meter that measures your draw speed in real time and adjusts the heater to match. Pull hard and the heater answers with an immediate burst of extra power, so the vapour stays dense and consistent even on fast draws.
Fully open is the best starting point, and many owners simply leave the dial there. A practical tip: close the dial when the vape is not in use, as this helps contain smell.
Smooth, Cool Vapour
After leaving the chamber, vapour travels through the cooling unit, built like a thermos with an insulating gap between its two walls. That gap keeps the heat inside, so the outer wall stays cooler to the touch. The extended air path cools each draw on its way to the mouthpiece. An integrated stainless steel screen adds a layer of filtration.
The result is vapour that is comfortable from the first draw to the last, with flavour that holds across the whole session. The result is vapour that is comfortable from the first draw to the last, with flavour that holds across the whole session.
If you enjoy water filtration, the water pipe adapter with bubbler (sold separately) slips over the mouthpiece and runs the vapour through water for even cooler sessions.
Temperature You Can Taste
The Venty heats anywhere between 40 °C and 210 °C, adjustable in single-degree steps with the two front buttons. The display shows the exact temperature and turns green when the target temperature is reached. A short vibration tells you the same thing without looking.
Double-click the side button for a 195 °C boost. Double-click again for the 210 °C super boost. A popular approach is to start at 180 °C for flavour, then boost upward as the session goes on. Lower temperatures preserve lighter compounds and terpenes, while higher temperatures extract more material in fewer draws.
Chamber and Dosing Capsules
The chamber holds approximately 0.25 g of ground herbs and has a hard ceramic coating, so it resists wear and is easy to wipe clean. It is forgiving about how finely you grind and how much you load. You can load a loose pinch or fill it to the top, and stirring is rarely needed during the session.
The Venty also accepts S&B dosing capsules, small reusable aluminium containers holding roughly 0.1 to 0.15 g each. You fill them in advance and drop one into the chamber, which then barely gets dirty. The same capsules work across the current S&B portable and desktop range.
You can build out the capsule workflow with optional add-ons. A magazine stores eight filled capsules, a capsule caddy clips four to your keychain, and a filling kit comes with 48 capsules and fills 40 of them in one sitting. The remaining eight sit in the magazine that comes with the kit, ready to carry.
An App You Set Up Once
The Venty pairs over Bluetooth with the S&B web app. Open it in Chrome or Edge at app.storz-bickel.com, or use the Bluefy app on iOS. No download is needed for the browser version.
The app is genuinely useful for a few things: customising the boost temperatures, switching on the ECO charging mode that protects battery health, adjusting vibration strength and display brightness, and installing firmware updates. It also tracks total usage hours.
The vape works fully without it. All daily controls sit on the vape itself, and many owners open the app once, set their preferences, and rarely open it again.
How to Use the Venty
The controls are straightforward: one side button, two temperature buttons, and the airflow dial. A full session looks like this.
- Loading: Twist off the cooling unit. Fill the chamber with up to 0.25 g of herbs, or drop in a dosing capsule, then twist the unit back on.
- Heating: Press the side button once. The Venty heats to your last-used temperature in about 20 seconds, then vibrates and its display turns green.
- Inhaling: Take slow, steady draws with the dial wide open. The first draw can be lighter; full output arrives by the second.
- Boosting: Double-click the side button to jump to 195 °C, and again for 210 °C to finish the extraction. A third double-click returns the vape to your base temperature.
- Finishing: Hold the side button to switch the Venty off; if you forget, it vibrates and shuts itself off after about two minutes of inactivity. Empty the chamber while it is still slightly warm.
Battery for Full Days
In our testing, two internal 18650 cells deliver 10 to 14 sessions per charge, which for many people means charging once a day or less, much like a phone. The cells are sealed inside the body and are not user-replaceable. They are designed for years of daily use, and the app's ECO charging mode helps protect them.
The Venty charges over USB-C, but it will not run while plugged in, so you charge it between sessions. The port sits on the bottom, so the vape lies on its side during charging. Charging with a standard USB-C wall adapter takes two hours or more, depending on the adapter.
The box includes a USB-C cable but no wall adapter. The optional fast charger supplies the missing wall adapter and brings the Venty to 80% in about 40 minutes.
Cleaning Made Simple
Daily upkeep takes seconds: tip out the chamber while it is still slightly warm and give it a pass with the included brush. Dosing capsules reduce this even further, since residue stays in the capsule.
Clean the cooling unit thoroughly at least once a week - S&B says no later than seven days after the last use, or sooner if you see deposits. It comes apart into several pieces. The mouthpiece doubles as the tool that unlocks the cooling unit's rotary cap. Soak the pieces in isopropyl alcohol, rinse them, and they come out clean.
Many owners keep a second cooling unit (sold separately) in rotation, fitting a clean one while the other soaks.
Venty vs Mighty+
The Mighty+ is S&B's long-running former flagship, a proven session vape with years of reliability behind it. It costs less, supports pass-through charging so it runs while plugged in, and uses a simple three-button interface with no app at all.
The Venty is ready in a third of the time: about 20 seconds against roughly a minute for the Mighty+. It also offers double the airflow through an adjustable dial, and more sessions per charge in our testing: 10 to 14 against 8 to 12. Both share the same 0.25 g chamber and the same dosing capsules.
If a lower price and plugged-in use matter most, the Mighty+ makes sense. You pay the difference for the Venty's draw and endurance.
Venty vs PAX Flow
The PAX Flow is a sleek, pocket-first premium portable at roughly half the Venty's weight, 135 g against 252 g. It offers a slightly larger 0.3 g chamber, hybrid heating, and a dedicated Bong Mode.
The Venty answers with airflow you can actually adjust, a dial the Flow does not have, backed by the smart flow meter that keeps every draw consistent. In our testing it also delivers roughly twice as many sessions per charge.
Pocket carry favours the Flow; draw quality and endurance favour the Venty.
Venty vs Frolic
The Frolic is a premium portable with its own adjustable airflow, plus a replaceable battery and an on-demand mode. Its 25 L/min ceiling goes beyond the Venty's 20 L/min.
The Venty counters with the well-established S&B ecosystem: dosing capsules, spare parts, and accessories. It also has a web app the Frolic does not offer. UL certification and German manufacturing add an extra layer of reassurance.
Single powerful draws favour the Frolic; relaxed, comfortable sessions favour the Venty.
Venty vs Tinymight 2
The Tinymight 2 is an enthusiast favourite, a high-end convection portable with near-instant on-demand heat and a user-swappable 18650 battery. It hits harder in a single draw and slips into a pocket more easily.
The Venty offers consistent draws with little technique, thanks to the flow meter that adapts the heater to your inhale. It adds the dosing capsule ecosystem and the web app. Through a water pipe, it gives cooler, easier draws even at full temperature.
The Tinymight 2 rewards technique; the Venty asks for little.
