The Crafty+ is the compact portable vaporizer from Storz & Bickel, the German makers of the Volcano. It delivers the same vapour quality as the larger Mighty+, in a body that disappears into a pocket. The single button makes it a natural first vape. It is also forgiving about grind, fill level, and draw technique. The battery covers 4 to 6 sessions per charge. The Crafty+ weighs 135 g and is about half the size of the Mighty+. It sits comfortably in the palm and slips into a jeans or jacket pocket without a bulge.

A double click activates the Booster, which raises the target temperature by 15 °C to 195 °C. A second double click activates the Superbooster at 210 °C, the top of the range.

Lower temperatures around 180 °C preserve lighter compounds and terpenes. Higher temperatures around 210 °C get more out of your herbs in fewer draws. That is why many owners start low and step up as the flavour fades.

The Crafty+ connects over Bluetooth to the free S&B Web App, which runs in a browser with no download needed. The app sets any exact temperature between 40 and 210 °C and adjusts the Booster steps. It also controls LED brightness, vibration, and auto shut-off.

The vape works fully without the app. The base temperature, Booster, and Superbooster settings cover daily use. Many owners open the app once to set their preferences and rarely return.

One setup tip: the serial number needed for pairing sits under the QR sticker on the base. Once connected, switch off the always-on Bluetooth setting in the app. Leaving it on drains the battery faster.

The ceramic-coated chamber holds about 0.25 g of ground herbs, the same capacity as the Mighty+. The coating keeps residue from sticking, so the chamber stays clean session after session. Partial loads work fine, so you can pack only what you plan to finish.

You can expand the setup with a magazine that carries eight filled capsules, a keychain capsule caddy, and a filling kit that loads 40 in one sitting. All are sold separately.

Now that you know the parts, here is how a full session goes:

1. Loading: Grind your herbs to a medium consistency and fill the chamber, or drop in a pre-filled dosing capsule. For loose herbs, the tool in the base tamps the load level.
2. Heating: Press the button once. The LED glows red. After about a minute it turns green and the vape vibrates.
3. Inhaling: Take slow draws of 5 to 8 seconds through the swivel mouthpiece. The LED may flick back to red during the first draws. That is normal while the chamber comes back up to temperature.
4. Boosting: When the flavour starts to fade, double click for the Booster at 195 °C. Double click again for the Superbooster at 210 °C to finish the load.
5. Finishing: Hold the button for about a second to switch off. An automatic shut-off steps in if you forget. Use the scraper end of the base tool to empty the chamber while it is still warm.

Inside sits a sealed 3,300 mAh lithium-ion battery. It is good for 4 to 6 sessions per charge, or roughly 45 to 60 minutes of running time. It is built in and cannot be replaced. Charging once a day covers most usage patterns, much like a phone.

The USB-C port in the base means the Crafty+ charges from any phone cable or power bank. The box includes a USB-A to USB-C cable but no wall adapter. The vape runs while plugged in, though the battery does not charge during use.

A fast charger brings it to about 80% in roughly 40 minutes. A standard charger takes 60 to 90 minutes. The fast charger has a USB-C output, so it needs a USB-C to USB-C cable. That cable is not included with the vape or the charger.

Day-to-day care is quick: brush out the chamber after sessions, and the ceramic coating does the rest. If you use dosing capsules, the chamber barely needs cleaning at all.

The cooling unit needs a deeper clean every few weeks. A small lock releases it, and the plastic parts can be soaked clean in isopropyl alcohol. Wash the silicone rings in warm soapy water and keep them out of the alcohol.

The gaps between the ridges on the body collect a little herb dust over time. Give them an occasional pass with the brush.
