Who is the PAX Plus for?

The PAX Plus is the flagship conduction vaporizer from PAX Labs. The matte, button-free design of this US brand earned it the nickname "the Apple of vapes". It packs a full-size oven, four smart heat modes, and concentrate support into a body that hides in a closed hand. Build quality and portability are what owners consistently praise. PAX confirmed in 2026 that this is the final production run. Once current stock sells through, the Plus will not return.

The Plus puts pocket size and simplicity ahead of connoisseur-grade taste. Flavour is brightest in the first few draws, and the vape rewards slow, gentle sips over big fast pulls. That is the trade-off for fast heat-up and a shape that disappears into daily carry. The Plus is still a complete daily driver: unhurried sessions from something that lives in a shirt pocket, herbs one day and concentrates the next, all backed by a 10-year warranty.

Pocket-First Design

The PAX Plus stands just under 10 cm tall and weighs only 91 g. The anodised aluminium shell has a smooth matte finish, with no buttons or ports anywhere on it. The only break in the surface is four petal-shaped LED lights on the front. Set next to a phone, it is easily mistaken for a small power bank.

The body does get noticeably warm towards the end of a session. The oven sits at the bottom, so hold the top half and it stays comfortable to grip.

Fast Conduction Heating

The Plus heats with pure conduction: the stainless steel oven walls touch the herbs directly, like cooking in a pan. Direct contact means fast results: the oven is ready in under 30 seconds, and the vape vibrates the moment it reaches temperature.

Conduction also keeps the vape small and simple. There is no fan and no bulky heater block, just a sealed steel oven at the base of the body.

Four Modes, One Hidden Button

There are no manual temperature settings on the Plus. It runs on four preset experience modes, each tuned for a different kind of session. Together they cover roughly 175 °C to 220 °C.

Stealth (around 175 °C) dims the lights and softens the vibration for discreet sessions. Efficiency starts near 190 °C and ramps up gradually, stretching one load past ten minutes. Flavour (around 205 °C) holds a mid-range heat that protects terpenes. Boost (around 215 °C) runs hottest, for the densest vapour and for concentrates.

The single button sits in the centre of the mouthpiece. A long press opens the mode selection, and you then tap to cycle through the modes. Lip-sensing and a motion sensor handle the rest: the vape adjusts heat while you draw and drops into standby when you set it down. One button also makes the Plus easy to share, because nobody needs an explanation when it gets passed around a group.

A Steel Path That Cools the Vapour

From the oven, vapour travels through a sealed stainless steel path running the full length of the body. That distance does real work. The vapour reaches your lips noticeably cooler than on vapes where the mouthpiece sits right above the oven. The path is fully isolated from the battery and electronics, so the taste stays clean.

Two mouthpieces come in the box. The flat one sits flush with the body for a more restricted, cigarette-like draw. The raised one opens the airflow and feels cooler on the lips.

An Oven That Adjusts to Your Dose

The stainless steel oven holds about 0.5 g of ground herbs and loads from the bottom through a magnetic lid. Conduction works best with a fine grind and a firm pack. Press the load down firmly enough that nothing falls out when you turn the vape over.

For smaller doses, the included half-pack lid reduces the oven to about 0.25 g. Its domed underside fills the empty space, so a small load still packs tight and heats properly.

A loading funnel makes filling spill-free, and a stash tube carries about three ovens' worth of ground herbs. Both are sold separately.

Herbs and Concentrates in One Vape

The box includes a two-part concentrate insert for waxes, oils, and hash. Put a rice-grain-sized piece on the white pad, close the lid over it, and run the session on Boost mode. The insert sits slightly above the oven rim. That gap is deliberate, so do not press the insert down to close it.

The newer PAX models do not accept this insert. That makes the Plus the last PAX with built-in concentrate support. Once this final batch sells through, no current PAX will offer 2-in-1 capability out of the box. It suits the odd extract session well. Going back to herbs takes a little cleaning, so keep that in mind if you plan to swap back and forth often.

How to Use the PAX Plus

The single mouthpiece button runs the whole session. Here is how it works in practice:

  1. Loading: Grind your herbs finely, fill the oven right up, and tamp the load down firmly with the multi-tool. For a smaller dose, fit the half-pack lid.
  2. Powering on: Give the mouthpiece button a quick press. The petals pulse purple and heating starts right away.
  3. Choosing a mode: Hold the button for about two seconds, then tap to cycle through the four modes. A long press or a shake confirms the mode you picked. A vibration and coloured petals mean it is ready.
  4. Inhaling: Take slow, gentle draws of about three seconds and pause between them. Halfway through, a quick stir with the multi-tool evens out the extraction.
  5. Finishing: Press the button to power off, or just set the vape down. It goes into standby after about a minute and switches off fully two minutes later. Empty the oven while it is still warm.

Battery and Charging

The internal battery gives around 75 to 80 minutes of use. For most people that is roughly 8 to 12 sessions per charge. Give it a quick shake and the petal lights show the remaining charge in quarters.

Charging runs through the included magnetic dock, which plugs into any USB-A port. A full charge takes roughly 2 to 3 hours. The magnetic dock is the only charger compatible with the Plus, so it belongs in the travel kit alongside the vape.

The battery is sealed and not removable. The Plus does not run while it sits on the dock, so charge it between sessions.

Quick Cleaning Routine

A quick wipe keeps the Plus clean and working well. Empty the oven while it is still warm and wipe the lid. Residue left overnight hardens.

Every 10 to 15 sessions, lift out the 3D screen, wipe the oven with isopropyl alcohol, and run the included wire brush through the steel path. The screens can soak in isopropyl. Never soak the vape itself.

With a pack of spare 3D screens (sold separately) you can fit a fresh one straight away and soak the used ones in a single batch.

A Warranty Few Can Match

Every PAX Plus carries a full 10-year warranty from PAX Labs. That is several times the one or two years that is standard in this category. The discontinuation changes nothing: PAX honours the warranty in full and typically replaces a defective vaporizer outright. The 10-year coverage applies to every vaporizer from this final batch.

The build makes that promise realistic. There is no glass or ceramic anywhere in the vape. These vapes have a long record of surviving years of daily carry.

PAX Plus vs PAX Flow

The PAX Flow is the Plus's direct successor and PAX's current flagship. It adds hybrid heating, far more open airflow, a dedicated Bong Mode, and USB-C fast charging.

The Plus answers with a smaller body and longer runtime. It weighs 91 g against the Flow's roughly 135 g. On slow sessions it also runs longer between charges. It also takes the concentrate insert, which the Flow cannot use. Its warranty runs 10 years, against two years on the Flow, or four if you register it.

Faster, stronger sessions with big pulls favour the Flow. Pocket carry, gentle sipping, and concentrate support favour the Plus.

PAX Plus vs Veazy

The Veazy is a mid-range portable session vape from Storz & Bickel, the German makers of the Volcano. Its hybrid heating delivers a level of vapour quality the conduction-only Plus does not try to match.

In return, the Plus offers a far more pocketable shape at 91 g. Four modes work from a single button, with no settings to manage. Concentrate support comes in the box, and the 10-year warranty runs far longer than the category norm.

The Veazy is the pick for vapour quality at home; the Plus is the vape you actually have with you.

PAX Plus vs PAX Mini 2

The PAX Mini 2 is the cheapest and smallest PAX, with the same look and feel in an even smaller body. It suits solo users who travel light and want the lowest entry price into the PAX range.

The Plus adds the concentrate insert and a full 10-year warranty, two things no current PAX offers. Both use the same 0.5 g oven and half-pack lid for smaller doses. Only the Plus handles herbs and extracts in one vape.

Light solo microdosing points to the Mini 2. Longer sessions, shared bowls, and concentrate use all point to the Plus.

Recommended Accessories

Right now we offer a 25% discount on all accessories when you buy any vaporizer here at MagicVaporizers. These are the add-ons we would pick for the PAX Plus.

Caps: Cap both ends of the vape for pocket carry. They hold the smell in and keep the magnetic oven lid from working loose in transit.

Loading Funnel: Gives you a target several times larger than the oven opening, so every pinch of herbs lands where it should.

Stash Tube: A smell-proof container with a built-in tamper that carries about three ovens' worth of ground herbs.

TightVac MiniVac: An airtight, smell-proof container that keeps ground herbs fresh between sessions.

Concentrate Insert: A second insert alongside the one in the box, so you can keep one clean for herb-only days while the other soaks.

MV StashBox + 8 Accessories: A lockable kit with a grinder, tray, and smell-proof storage. It covers the whole preparation routine in one box.

Raised Mouthpieces: A cooler, airier draw plus clean spares when the vape gets passed around.

3D Screens (3-pack): Swap in a fresh screen whenever the airflow tightens, then clean the used ones together.

3D Screen Set: Three screens plus the wire brush, for a full refresh once the original brush wears out.

Rounded Multi-Tool: Curved to fit the PAX oven for mid-session stirring. It also lifts the 3D screen out for cleaning.

Puck Press: Presses ground herbs into even loads, so every session heats predictably.

Prep Tongs: Pack and empty the warm oven without sticky or burnt fingers.

Smell Proof Bag: Carries the vape, a grinder, and your tools, with the odour sealed inside.

Warranty Information

The PAX Plus comes with a 10-year warranty from PAX Labs, covering normal use. PAX typically replaces a defective unit outright. We are an authorised PAX Labs distributor, so every PAX Plus we sell here at MagicVaporizers is completely authentic.
