This pack contains six coarse-mesh stainless steel screens with a 15 mm diameter, the small size that fits the filling chambers of the Crafty(+), Mighty(+), Venty and Veazy. The wider mesh increases airflow through the chamber and cooling unit, which suits denser loads and a coarser grind. Volcano and Plenty filling chambers take the 30 mm screens instead.
Screens darken and clog with resin over time, tightening the draw and dulling the flavour. Swapping in a clean coarse screen opens the airflow back up. Stainless steel stands up to hundreds of heat cycles, so a single pack lasts a long while.
