The Herb Ripper 4-piece is machined in the USA from 100% medical-grade stainless steel, and that one choice of material determines everything else about the grinder. There is no anodised coating to wear through, no aluminium underneath it, and nothing that can flake into your herb: just bare, food-safe steel with teeth that stay sharp for the life of the tool. Steel is far harder to machine than aluminium, and the finish shows how much work the machining took: cleanly deburred edges, a matte exterior over precision-machined internals, and real weight in the hand. The four sections cover every stage of grinding. The lid is held by a magnet with 9.2 pounds of pulling force, so it never opens on its own in a bag.
