The Boundless CFC 2.0 is the entry-level model in the range, made for people who want real temperature control without spending a lot. Among portables under 100 euros, it is a strong option.

The plastic body keeps the weight low and the price down. The vapour is respectable for the money. The water pipe adapter is included at no extra cost. It is also easy to slip into a pocket for the cinema, the bar or a long walk.

At 85 g, 13.2 cm tall and 2.8 cm wide, the CFC 2.0 is one of the lighter portables in its class. The shape is close to a thick pen, so it slides into a jacket or jeans pocket without a bulge.

Textured ridges run along the sides, and a rubberised grip keeps it steady in the hand. The ridges also shed heat, so the body stays comfortable to hold even at 210 °C. Inside is a ceramic chamber with an isolated vapour path, which keeps what you inhale away from the electronics.

The CFC 2.0 heats by conduction. Heat moves straight from the hot ceramic walls into the herbs, the way a warm stone passes its heat into your palm.

Heating is quick: about 25 seconds to reach 195 °C, and under 45 seconds to the 230 °C maximum. That is about the time it takes to grind a load and pack the chamber, so you barely wait for your first draw.

The box includes a water pipe adapter that fits both 14 mm and 18 mm glass joints. Remove the bowl and downstem from a bubbler or bong and drop the adapter into the empty joint. Your vapour then passes through the water. The vape sits out of the way on the glass, so the whole setup stays balanced.

Water cools and filters the vapour, so draws at higher settings feel noticeably smoother. At high temperatures, the plastic mouthpiece warms up towards the end of a session. Switching to the adapter solves that.

The OLED screen gives you single-degree control from 60 to 230 °C, which is rare at this price. Hold either temperature button and the numbers scroll quickly; press both together and the display switches between °C and °F.

The screen shows the set temperature, the current temperature climbing degree by degree, and the battery level. A small vapour icon appears when the target is reached. There is no vibration, so the signal is visual only.

Lower settings around 180 to 190 °C preserve the more volatile compounds and terpenes. Higher settings around 205 to 215 °C extract more material in fewer draws. The CFC 2.0 also remembers your last temperature and starts heating to it as soon as you switch it on.

The ceramic chamber takes up to 0.5 g of ground herbs, and around 0.3 g makes a comfortable working load. A wide lip around the opening keeps loading tidy. Small loads still extract well.

How densely you pack the chamber decides how the draw feels. A gentle tamp gives long, slow draws; a firm pack gives shorter, more intense ones. Airflow is fixed, so packing density is your only adjustment.

Because the heat comes from the chamber walls, a stir around the halfway mark evens out the load. The stir tool is in the box, and the whole job takes about ten seconds. A loose pack needs less stirring than a dense one.

A TightVac MiniVac (sold separately) is a useful add-on: it keeps ground herbs sealed and the smell contained in a pocket.

Three buttons handle everything: a main one and two temperature buttons beside it.

1. Loading: Grind your herbs medium and loose. Pull the mouthpiece straight off and fill the chamber, 0.5 g at most. Leave a little headroom so you can stir later. Hold the vape while you load, as it does not stand upright on its own.
2. Reattaching the mouthpiece: Line up the two pins on the mouthpiece and push it in until it sits level with the body.
3. Powering on: Click the main button five times. Heating starts automatically at your last-used temperature.
4. Setting the temperature: Press the up or down button, or hold either one to scroll quickly through the degrees.
5. Inhaling: Wait for the vapour icon, then give it another 20 to 30 seconds so the load heats through evenly. Draw slowly and steadily.
6. Stirring: Around halfway through, lift the mouthpiece and stir the load with the included tool.
7. Finishing: Hold the main button for three seconds to enter standby, or click five times to switch off. If you leave it alone, it sleeps after five minutes. Tip out the used herbs and brush the chamber while it is still warm.

The built-in 1200 mAh battery is sealed inside the body. It gives 7 to 12 sessions per charge, or roughly 45 to 60 minutes of continuous use. Lower temperatures stretch that further. For most people that means charging once a day, much like a phone.

Charging runs through the USB-C port on the bottom, where the cable stays out of the way. A full charge takes about two to three hours from any USB charger or power bank. The box includes a USB-A to USB-C cable but no wall plug.

Standby saves power when you pause a session. Hold the button for three seconds and the screen goes off while the vape stays powered on. The chamber cools, which saves battery and stops the herbs from heating needlessly.

A magnetic USB-C adapter (optional) stays in the port and lets the cable snap on and off. That spares the port the wear of daily plugging.

The best habit is to empty the chamber after every session while it is still warm, then clean it out with the included brush. Warm residue lifts easily, so the vape stays free of odour.

For a deeper clean every few sessions, wipe the ceramic with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol until it looks white again. The screens can soak in the same alcohol. The plastic mouthpiece body and its silicone gasket need only warm soapy water. Never soak them in alcohol.

Spare mouthpiece screens and chamber screens are handy for rotation, and a spare mouthpiece is a simple option if you pass the vape around. Spare screens and mouthpieces are all sold separately.
